Urgent: Support Sri Lanka Disaster Relief Today


Relief Drive & Blessing Ceremony


Dear Dhamma Friends,

In light of the recent humanitarian crisis in Sri Lanka, many families are facing severe shortages of essential items especially in refugee camps. In response, the New Jersey Buddhist Vihara & Meditation Center (NJBV) is organizing an urgent collection drive to support disaster relief efforts.

From what we have learned and observed, medical supplies and women’s sanitary products are among the most critically needed items. The most essential items collected will be airlifted to Sri Lanka to ensure they reach affected communities as quickly as possible.

Most Needed Medical & Essential Items:

  • Band-Aid
  • Bandages
  • Cotton
  • Gauze
  • Lysol
  • Saline water (Celine water)
  • Surgical spirit
  • Tylenol
  • Advil
  • VapoRub
  • Sanitary items
  • Baby diapers (infant sizes S, M, L)
  • Toothpaste & toothbrushes
  • Children & Educational Supplies:

  • Books
  • School bags
  • Shoes
  • Clean, folded clothes
  • Pens and pencils
  • Drop-Off Locations:

  • Designated collection boxes will be placed in the trailer.
